We Need Your Help!
Volunteers are the life blood of a non-profit organization. We welcome both your time and talents to help us achieve our mission.
The best way to support SOSS is to sponsor a child, perhaps along with a church group, a school or community group, your family, or your friends. Together, you can make a huge difference in the life of a child without making a dent in your budget. SoSS welcomes volunteers to help spread the word, implement events and help with social media.
Below are several simple ideas for individuals and groups who want to start helping TODAY:
- Since the majority of SOSS’s funding goes directly towards supporting the kids, our marketing and promotion budget is very limited. We gain the majority of our supporters from word of mouth exposure— Please SHARE the Word verbally or via Facebook.
- One hour a week spent on social media telling others about Seeds of South Sudan and our mission can make a huge difference.
- Commit one hour a week to researching and contacting speaking venues for Arok and board members to share Arok’s story and mission. Churches, schools and scouting groups have enjoyed hearing Arok’s story in the past. Service clubs and civic organizations enjoy hearing from SoSS board members of the powerful difference we are making in the lives of the future leaders of a peaceful South Sudan.
- Seek and collect donated items to be auctioned off at our periodic fundraising events.
